Meet Dan perkins
the ultimate george michael tribute
Dan's love of music blossomed in Englewood High School, CO as the founding member and the musical director of the a cappella group Graffiti Tribe. Tribe received national recognition after winning the prestigious Harmony Sweepstakes Competition and went on to perform at 100s of colleges throughout the country, stopping to sing the National Anthems for the Colorado Rockies, Denver Broncos, Philadelphia Eagles and Jacksonville Jaguars. They also opened for Charlie Wilson's Gap Band at the Orange Bowl for the NCAA National Championship Game.
Their Record Deal with Def Jam's Priority Records was cut short by the World Trade Center Bombings. They did continue to lift spirits by performing in countless NYC Fire Stations and Police Precincts. It was during this time that they were tapped to perform a music video with the surviving family members from this tragic event.
When in NYC the Tribe boys would often sing for the patrons at Raos including regulars Bo Dietl, Sonny Grosso and luminaries Billy Squire, Steven Van Zandt, Phil Ramone and Clive Davis.
Dan, a fixture on the Denver music scene and lifetime George Michael fan, was asked by the city's largest promoter to participate in a tribute show featuring the songs of George Michael, Prince and David Bowie. It was during these shows that the seed was planted for "The George Michael Experience.”
With a love for George Michael’s music, Dan brings you a show that celebrates the award winning artist’s career in music. Get ready to experience the music of George Michael like you've never heard it before.
